Slightly Mad Studios upcoming AAA racing game "Project Cars" has been delayed again and will now be launching mid-May 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Project CARS is the first title to be created using the unique crowd-powered WMD (World of Mass Development) Portal. Already critically-acclaimed as being the first true competitor to Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo and the premier authentic race experience on Wii U, Project CARS gives players the freedom to choose their own destiny - whether that's starting as a karting prodigy and going on to become an Formula champion within 3 years, to return year after year and defend your GT title against all oncomers, or to prove your dominance across six other distinct and popular motorsports.

Slightly Mad Studios announced in February that the game had been delayed until April. Today's announcement sees the game delayed again yet again.

"We would like to offer some free content to all players as compensation for this short delay and as acknowledgement of how grateful we are." said Ian Bell, Studio Head for Slightly Mad Studios.

Project Cars will now be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC mid-May 2015.
